If we are going to have a serious relationship, you should know that this is one of my favorite bands of the 21st century. When I first saw them, they were an unknown opener for the LCD Soundsystem show at MHOW. Knowing nothing, I was blown away by Shannon Funchess’ voice and stage presence. The beats flooded the room in the same harsh, uneasy way as the tubes of flourescent light that surrounded the performers. It may take you a few listens to get into it, but once you do…oh man.
